Hello, and welcome to my blog! It’s finally operational and I’m excited. I doubt anyone will read it, but it’s pretty.
I’m Jillian, an aspiring author who writes contemporary fiction for women and teens. I live in Long Beach with my supportive husband and two writing companions, Hulk and Bruno. No, they’re not body guards. They’re Italian Greyhounds. They would make horrible body guards.
In my past life, I was a teen librarian and I love discussing books. The last book I read was Uglies, a young adult sci-fi novel, by Scott Westerfeld. It reminded me of Orwell’s 1984 and I loved it. Now I think about plastic surgery in a whole new way.
I created this Web site to connect with other readers and writers who enjoy witty, female-oriented stories. Sound like your cup of tea? If so, click around. You’ll find events, contests, and an excerpt from my novel, The Last Cupcake. It’s a romantic comedy. I’d love to hear your thoughts and even your criticisms. Those help too.
Moving on, I’m gearing up for the 26th Annual Orange Rose Contest for Unpublished Writers, in April. This contest is given by the Orange County Chapter of the Romance Writers of America. I posted a link to the contest on my news page for anyone who wants to enter. Soon my blog will feature book reviews, writing tips, author interviews, and much, much more. Please come back, and thanks for visiting.
Warmest wishes,
Jillian

Jillian,
Welcome to the interwebs. Your webblog is fabulous, of course, and we’re excited to see your cupcake of a book making it’s debut and wish you much success!
We’re pimping this online concoction of yours to all of our friends, especially the ones that like sexy librarian pictures.
